Burley, deceased, and Matilda Burley, died at the home of his mother, 1401 North Lincoln avenue, Tyrone, yesterday afternoon at 2.25 o'clock, of consumption, of which he had been ailing for the past ten months and one week. The deceased was born in Tyrone, August 2, 1867, and at death was aged 32 years, 4 months and 15 days. For several years he had been engaged in the cigar and tobacco trade in this place. When Mr. Allen S. Garman took charge of the Garman house, he was appointed room clerk at that hotel, which position he acceptably filled until he was compelled to relinquish it last February on account of illness. Mr. Burley was whole-souled and congenial, and his early demise is deeply regretted by a host of friends, who sincerely sympathize with the aged mother, the brother and sisters in this the hour of their sore affliction. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Matilda Burley, of Tyrone, and one brother and two sisters, viz: Reuben F. Burley, of Mahanoy City, Pa.; Mrs. Harry McMullen, of Arch Spring, Pa., and Mrs. Irvin T. Gray, of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. F. L. Bergstresser; interment to follow in the Tyrone cemetery.
