BURNS Of 10 9th St., Tyrone, died unexpectedly at his home at 9 a.m. yesterday. He was born March 25, 1887, at Woodbury, a son of George W. and Catherine Lucy Ann (Koontz) Burns. He was married twice, first on Jan. 29, 1915, to Ellen A Murray, who died Sept. 13, 1953, then on June 29, 1955, to Mrs. Regina T. Candy. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Phil (Sarah) Payne of Tyrone; a step-son, John Candy of Tyrone; the following brothers and sisters, Earl, Mrs. Ada Miller and Mrs. Pearl Hall of Tyrone; Roy, of State College, Dewey, of Altoona and Mrs. Mary Lustig of Dayton, Ky., and two grandchildren. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Modern Woodmen and retired in 1948 from the P.R.R. as an assistant yardmaster. Friends will be received at the Graham & Getz Funeral Home, Tyrone, after 7 p.m. today Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Friday, January 31, 1964
