Burns, 61, of 809 58th St. was dead on arrival at the Mercy Hospital emergency room from her home at 11:45 p.m. yesterday, March 31, 1970, and at 11:15 a.m. today, her husband, Sheldon L., proprietor of the Camera Shop, was admitted to the hospital. Both were victims of heart attacks, Mr. Burns suffering from the shock of his wife's sudden death. His condition today is regarded as satisfactory. Mrs. Burns was born April 14, 1908, in Altoona, a daughter of Edward and Nannie (Maurer) Mercer, and was married to Mr. Burns on June 30, 1937. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Trusz of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Mrs. Delene Lytle of Altoona; two grandsons and a brother, James of Sunland, Calif. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Broad Avenue United Presbyterian church and was active in Girl Scouts. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, April 1, 1970
