GEORGE H. BURNS

Of 1305 16th St., died at 8:25 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital 
where he was admitted Aug. 10. He was born in Altoona Aug. 28, 1914, a 
son of Glenn A. and Elizabeth (Recktenwald) Burns, and married Grace 
Olmes Aug. 15, 1956. Mr. Burns retired from the Army in 1955 with the 
rank of sergeant first class after 21 years of service. He was a 
cosmetologist at the Olmes Beauty Salon and a member of St. James 
Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, a son, John of Detroit, Mich., 
and his mother. Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton Funeral 
Home after 4 p.m. tomorrow.
