KATHRYN M. BURNS

Mrs. Burns, 90, of Box 495, RD 3, Skelp, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 
1989, at Centre Community Hospital, State College. She was born May 15, 
1898, in Tyrone, the daughter of Zachariah and June (Kephart) Sprankle, and 
Nov. 11, 1919, in Ebensburg, married Fred B. Burns, who died June 26, 1963. 
Surviving are five children: Fred of Skelp, David of Valley View Home, Betty 
Rafferty of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Gada Fink of Altoona and Charles of Akron, 
Ohio; 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Friends will be 
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, 
Bellwood.

BURNS - Services for Kathryn M. Burns of Box 495, RD 3, Skelp, will be held 
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, by Arthur 
Freet, pastor of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood. Interment at 
Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. 
Tuesday at Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood.
