All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Lucyann Catherine (Koontz) Burns Mrs. Lucyann Catherine (Koontz) Burns who was in the fifth generation of her family, and who lived with her daughter, Mrs. Phil Hall, 851 Jefferson Avenue, Tyrone, Pa., died Tuesday morning following an illness of two years. She was born July 6, 1857, at Everett, Pa., daughter of Peter and Mary (Gillian) Koontz. On December 24, 1882, at Everett, she married George Washington Burns who died in 1909. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Hall, with whom she lived with for 22 years; Earl W. and Charles Burns, Tyrone; G. D. Burns, Altoona; Roy E. Burns, State College; Mrs. E. J. Lustig, Dayton, Kentucky; Mrs. Fred A. Miller, Tyrone, and 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-greatgrandchildren. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Glass Funeral Home, in charge of the Reverend Ralph H. Stoll, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Altoona, Pa. Burial will be in the Everett Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. The family asks friends to omit flowers.
