Cambria st., Bellwood, died Monday, at 7:20 a.m., at Mercy Hospital, Altoona, after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 2, 1897, at Taylor Twp., a son of George A. and Alice Woodle Burns. He was twice married, first to Elizabeth Estep in 1921. She died in 1958. He was married to Helen Kramer on Aug. 21, 1965. Surviving is the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Bryan, Bellwood, and Mrs. Helen Brinker, Mt. Pleasant, and two step-children, Mrs. Joyce Williams, and Wayne Kramer, of Bellwood; also nine grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Viola Ellenberger, of Parker; Clair, of Warriors Mark; Mrs. Ruth Stine, Camp Hill; Herman, of Akron, Ohio; Edward, and Mrs. Louella Hoffman, and Allison Burns, all of Tyrone. A step-sister, Mrs. Edith Clancy, Pennington, Ala., also survives. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1859 of Bellwood; the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainment. He retired in 1961 after 40 years as a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. Funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m., at the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, in charge of the Rev.
