Heart Ailment Causes Death

Sheldon L. Burns, 68, 709 58th St., proprietor of The Camera Shop, died 
at 1.45 p.m. Saturday noon, April 4, 1970, in Mercy Hospital, where he 
was admitted April 1 following the death of his wife. He was born Sept. 
12, 1901, in Altoona, a son of Christopher W. and Sarah (Powell) Burns, 
and married Florence M. Mercer on June 30, 1937. Mrs. Burns died 
unexpectedly March 31 and was buried Friday. Surviving are three 
children, Robert of York, Mrs. Nancy Trusz of Newton Falls, Ohio, and 
Mrs. Helen Lytle of Altoona; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. 
Mary Heinbaugh of Altoona and Mrs. Sarah Shepard of Tampa, Fla. Mr. 
Burns was a member of the Broad Avenue United Presbyterian Church and 
the Altoona Camera Club. Friends are being received in the Mauk & Yates 
Funeral Home, Juniata.
