BURNS [photo] Aged Bellwood Resident Dies Stephen M. Burns, aged 87, of North Tuckahoe street, Bellwood, died at the Altoona hospital last evening at 7.25 o'clock. He was born Feb. 26, 1860, in Antis township, the son of Abraham and Lucy (McMonigal) Burns. His wife, Annie (Davis) Burns, died in 1927. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Edgar Ricketts, Mrs. Frank Sigle, Mrs. George R. Ross and Mrs. R. A. Cherry of Bellwood, Mrs. Floyd Bricker of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. D. N. DeRemer of Morrisville; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Dodd of Sandy Ridge, and a brother, Elmer Burns of West Decatur; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member and trustee of the United Brethren church of Bellwood and president of the Antis Cemetery association board. Friends may call at the Sigle home, 722 Fourth street, Bellwood, after 7 o'clock this evening. BURNS - Funeral services for Stephen M. Burns of North Tuckahoe street, Bellwood, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Sigle of 722 North Fourth street, Bellwood. Interment will follow in the Bellwood cemetery. Friends are being received at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Sigle, 722 North Fourth street, Bellwood, after 7 o'clock this evening.
