Burr died yesterday morning at 3.45 o'clock at his home, 2307 Sixteenth avenue after a few days' illness, death being caused by pneumonia. He was born in Austria on March 23, 1876, and has been a resident of the United States for sixteen years. He was employed in the South Altoona foundry. He was a member of St. Mary's church, the Knights of St. George, Union Beneficial association and the P.R.R. Relief. He is survived by his wife and five children, John, Mary, Englebert, Joseph and Theresa, and one brother and one sister, Frank Burr and Mrs. Theresa Winter, both of Austria. The funeral will be held on Thursday; private interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Altoona Times, Wednesday Morning, October 9, 1918
