Norton, of this city, received word Friday morning announcing the death of her half-brother, John P. Burtnett, at his home at In man, Kansas, on February 15, after but a few hours' illness. He was taken suddenly sick while attending a public sale in the country on February 14, died at 5 a. m. next day, and was laid to rest at Hutchinson, Kansas, on February 18. Deceased was formerly a resident of this section, having been born at Wilmory, Cambria county, March 22, 1858. He was married to Miss Clara Wilt, of Newry. He is survived by his wife, three sons and four daughters all of Kansas, also by his aged mother, Mrs. Catharine J. Stultz, of Hawkins Station, near Braddock, and a half-sister, Mrs. R. L.
