CLARA BUSH Mrs. Clara Curtis Bush, widow of John Bush, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Kennedy, at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 20. She had been ill for a number of years, suffering from cancer, which caused her death. During the last two years she endured untold agony without a word of complaint, always in a cheerful mood and trusting in Him who doeth all things well. She was a kind and a loving mother and neighbor and was ever ready and willing to help those in need. She was born Dec. 13, 1845, being the daughter of John and Barbara Curtis and was aged 76 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage with John Bush, a Civil War veteran, who preceded her to the grave twenty years ago. The deceased is survived by these children: Mrs. Minnie Kennedy, of Roaring Spring; Guy and Amos Bush, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Blanche Croyle and Ray Bush, of Gaysport; and Lafayette Bush, of Altoona. Also by these step-children: Charles Bush, of Roaring Spring; Mrs. Hannah Bowser, of Bellwood; Mrs. Mary Boyer and Joseph Bush, of Queen. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters also survive: Mrs. Anna Snowberger, Mrs. Ellen Cary and Mrs. Elizabeth Corl, all of East Freedom; George Curtis, of Eldorado; James Curtis, of California, and John Curtis, of Washington. The funeral service was held on Thursday morning, at Christ Reformed church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. A. Hartman, and was attended by a large number of friends, relatives and neighbors.
