Bush died at his residence, corner of Sixth avenue and Twelfth street, about 8 o'clock on Monday evening. He was a native of Centre county, and was a gallant soldier during the war of the rebellion, being a member of Company B, 149th regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers, having enlisted in Curwensville, Clearfield county. He was severely wounded in the right shoulder at the battle of Gettysburg. This wound nearly rendered his right arm powerless, and in connection with chronic bronchitis gave him much suffering. Mr. Bush was a member of a Clearfield lodge of Odd Fellows, who will look after his burial according to the usages of the order. He was about 50 years of age. His funeral will take place from his late residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, March 24, 1880
