ANNIE C. BUTLER

Of East Freedom, R.D. 1, died at 8.30 o'clock Monday night at Nason 
hospital, Roaring Spring, following an extended illness. Mrs. Butler 
was born Aug. 1, 1874, at Donnertown, a daughter of Edward and Sarah 
(Stiffler) Malone. Her husband, Benjamin F., whom she married Sept. 20, 
1890, preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters and two 
sons, Mrs. Christine Helsel of Claysburg, R.D., Mrs. Warren Amick of 
Claysburg, Mrs. Margaret Nakis of Buffalo, N.Y., and Harry Leo and 
Curtin C. of East Freedom, R.D.; 46 grandchildren, 57 great-
grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of 
the Smith Corner Mennonite church. Friends are being received at the 
Hite funeral home, Roaring Spring.
