BUTLER DEAD Passed Away at 3:30 O'clock at His Home on Thirteenth Avenue. Joseph H. Butler, one of the city's best known residents, died at 3:30 this morning at his residence at 1216 Thirteenth avenue, of congestion of the lungs, after a brief illness. Mr. Butler was employed in the shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad company and had been ill but a short time, although his health had not been of the best for some time. He had long been identified with the national guard and was a Republican in politics. He was a brother-in-law of Richard Smith, who yesterday retired from the office of city treasurer. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, January 4, 1916, page 14
