An aged lady, Catharine Butterbaugh, was the victim. Age and epilepsy were, doubtless, the cause, aided by exposure during the present severe weather. She is said not to have been without means to provide herself with necessary food and other comforts, money having been found on her person, but her infirmities disabled her from procuring them. She is the reputed owner of the tenement in which she lived, and drew a pension of $8 per month from the U. S. Government. A son-in-law resides in Loudensville, to whose residence she was removed yesterday, and from which she will be buried to-day. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, February 25, 1875, page 3
