(Rhodes) Calderwood, 1757, Madison Avenue, died Saturday, October 6, 1962 at 9:47 p.m. at the Tyrone Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born January 25, 1871, at Greenwood Furnace, Pa., the daughter of William and Margaret (Eshelman) Rhodes. She was married to Leonard Calderwood who died April 29, 1947. Two children preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Calderwood, Tyrone, and five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. Also surviving is a brother, Arnold R. Rhodes, Altoona, Pa. She was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church and the Women's Society of the Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church, in charge of the Reverend Leroy Harrison. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone. Friends are being received at the Johnson Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday, and thereafter at the church. Daily News, Huntingdon, Pa., October 9, 1962, page 2
