PAUL J. CALDERWOOD 

  Paul J. Calderwood, 98, of RD 5 Box 300, Tyrone, died at his 
residence Tuesday afternoon, December 27, 2005. 
  He was born July 25, 1907 at Honestown, Tyrone Twp., the son of 
Benjamin Johnson and Mary Catherine (Updike) Calderwood.
  He was married December 26, 1929 in Tyrone to Louise Aremita McMullen 
who died April 15, 2001.
  He is survived by a son James Paul Calderwood and his wife Minnie of 
RD 3 Tyrone, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two 
sisters: Helen Miller and Margaret Zeek of Tyrone and several nieces 
and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by a son William Franklin Calderwood, two 
brothers and two sisters.
  He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed hunting.
  He retired as a trackman from Penna. Railroad in 1972 and also worked 
on construction crews with J.C. Yenter Co., John Hagg Co. of Tyrone, 
and Keith Co. of Alexandria.
  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. at 
the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone.
  Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 
p.m.
