Local Brevities.

  Miss Sarah Caldwell died in this city at 10 o'clock on Wednesday 
night.  She was an excellent lady and much respected by all who knew 
her.  Her funeral will take place from the residence of D. M. Blake, 
1202 Fifth avenue, on Saturday, and her remains will be taken to 
Hollidaysburg for interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.

HOLLIDAYSBURG HAPPENINGS.

  Miss Sarah Caldwell, who died in Altoona on Wednesday evening, was a 
sister to Mr. William Caldwell, of this place, where the deceased was 
born and lived the greater part of her life.  The funeral will take 
place on Saturday at 10 o'clock in the Presbyterian cemetery, just 
after the arrival of the morning train.
