Local Brevities.

  Mrs. J. M. Campbell, died at the residence of her husband, 1411 
Eighth avenue at twenty-five minutes past 4 o'clock yesterday 
afternoon, after a long illness.  Had she lived until the 21st of June 
next she would have been 58 years of age.  Besides her husband she is 
survived by a number of step children.  The funeral will take place to-
morrow afternoon.
