He was born at Upper Lisle, N.Y., on Sept. 16, 1852, a son of John and Mariah (Lawton) Campbell, and married Miss Emma Coble, who died on April 13, 1928. Mr. Campbell retired from the Pennsylvania Edison company in 1929 after forty years' service, having entered the company employ when it was known as the Edison Illuminating company. Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Maud Collinson at home, Mrs. M. F. Plummer of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. R. G. Prosser of Altoona, E. T. Campbell, at home, Maurice J. and Z. S. Campbell of the city, Frank B. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Pennsyl, at home; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Campbell was a member of the First Methodist church and of Archie Maxwell lodge, No. 145, of Odd Fellows. Friends are being received at the Laughlin funeral home. CAMPBELL - Funeral services for John Edgar Campbell, of 1402 Eighteenth avenue will be held at the Laughlin funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. William Taylor.
