John Campbell, an old pioneer of the Allegheny mountains, popularly known as "Old Jacker," died at his home, in Snyder township, Blair county, on Saturday morning, at the advanced age of nearly eighty-eight years. He was buried on Tuesday in a burial lot which he had cleared off near his isolated home, and his funeral was attended by the various hunting clubs of Blair and other counties, whose members made his mountain home their headquarters during their annual hunting excursions.
