Miss Mary Jane Canan, almost a life long resident of Huntingdon county, died of pneumonia at 6 o'clock last evening at the residence of her niece in this city. She was born in Huntingdon county November 15, 1830, and had been a resident of this city for three years. Her only relatives are three nieces and two nephews. She had been a member of the Lower Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church from childhood and was a devoted church member and consistent Christian. The funeral services will be conducted at the chapel of Undertaker Otto G. Gilden on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, by Rev. Dr. H. H. Stiles, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church.
