MRS. MAGGIE M. CARLES

Wife of H. B. Carles, died at noon today, at her home, 211 East First 
avenue, of typhoid fever.  She was a daughter of Nicholas and Charlotte 
Burk and was born at Newry, May 17, 1870.  She is survived by her 
husband and three children, Lottie, Irene and Gustie, and the following 
brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Springle and Mrs. A. T. Menefee of South 
Carolina, Mrs. H. B. Gerheart and D. K. Burk of Juniata.  The funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.
