Carling died at his home on Logan avenue yesterday noon, the cause of his death being a complication of diseases, superinduced by a severe attack of Spanish influenza contracted last October. Ralph D. Carling was the son of John S. and Mary Carling and was born at Tyrone January 24, 1889. His entire life had been spent in this community. Deceased was a devoted member of St. Matthew's Catholic church, and also a member of St. Gregory council, Knights of Columbus. Prior to his illness he was employed at the Tyrone transfer. Surviving to mourn his death are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: John F., William A., Augustus T., Misses Mary S., Naoma S., and Margaret E., all of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. F. Looney. Altoona Tribune, Wednesday Morning, March 12, 1919
