  On Monday afternoon at one o'clock Joseph Carmony died at his home in 
Birmingham, from an apoplectic stroke, being aged about 68 years.  He 
leaves a widow by a second marriage and five children, grown, by first 
marriage; one son in San Francisco, California; one son in 
Philadelphia; one daughter in Milroy, Mifflin county; one daughter, 
Mrs. Woomer, at Olivia, Pa.; one daughter, Miss Sarah Carmony, at 
Philipsburg.  The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at three 
o'clock, Rev. H. H. Henry officiating.
