He was born in Masina, Italy, on Feb. 9, 1894, but had been a resident of Altoona for the past twenty-five years. He was employed as a stonemason by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary (Gimo) Carmuti, two daughters and one son, Angeline, Maria Catherine and Edmund Carmuti, all at home, one brother and two sisters residing in Italy. Mr. Carmuti was a member of Mount Carmel Catholic church and the Christopher Columbus society. The body may be viewed at the home. The funeral will be held Monday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in Mount Carmel church. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Friday, May 22, 1936
