MARY CARNS Of 318 Logan avenue, South Lakemont, widow of Charles O. Carns, died at her home at 2.15 o'clock yesterday afternoon after having been ill for the past five months. She was born in Martinsburg on March 18, 1881, a daughter of David and Elizabeth (Snyder) Shoeman, and on Aug. 20, 1909, was united in marriage with Mr. Carns, who died on Dec. 30, 1935. They resided in Martinsburg for some years, moving to South Lakemont about six years ago. Surviving are three brothers and two sisters, David Shoeman of South Lakemont, Charles and Frank of Roaring spring, Mrs. J. B. Adams of Hollidaysburg, and Mrs. Daniel Herron of Roaring spring. Mrs. Carns was a member of the Lakemont Church of God. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Reformed cemetery at Claysburg.
