CAROTHERS Formerly of Altoona and Philadelphia, died at his home in Cleveland, O. after an illness of nearly a year. He was aged 77. He was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as chief lumber inspector and supervisor. He was twice married, the first union being with Lottie M. Glunt of Altoona and the second with Sarah Hassinger of Harrisburg. Surviving are his second wife and the following children of his first wife: Edward J. and Mrs. A. L. Kiser of Altoona, Mrs. J. J. Benton, Mrs. A. V. Woolsey and Russell E. of Buffalo N.Y. He was a member of the Luthern Church in Cleveland and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. The body was brought to Altoona for interment. Friends will be received at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 7 o'clock Wednesday evening. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
