CARPER Of Roaring Spring RD 1, died unexpectedly at 7:15 a.m. today, May 2, 1972, at her home. She was born in Woodbury Twp. Nov. 6, 1904, a daughter of George W. and Maggie (Smith) Imler, and married Simon Carper on March 26, 1932, in the Church of God parsonage, Martinsburg. Surviving are her husband, a son, Richard E. of Roaring Spring RD; three grandchildren and a brother and sister, Jesse W. and Mrs. Martha Davis of Woodbury. Mrs. Carper was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received in the Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and in the Woodbury Church of the Brethren after 10 a.m. Thursday. Altoona Mirror, May 2, 1972
