He was a well-known musician, having been on the road with different minstrel shows. A brother died of heart failure about a year ago. He is survived by his aged mother and two sisters, Miss Sadie Carr and Mrs. D. E. Lafferty, of 1913 Fifteenth avenue. He was buried from St. Patrick's cathedral in Detroit and the body interred in St. Joseph's cemetery.
