DEATH OF A CHILD.

  At 1.40 o'clock yesterday afternoon John Edward, son of Lawrence E. 
and Annie Carroll, died at the residence of the parents, 808 
Seventeenth avenue, aged 1 year, 2 months and 5 days.  The cause of 
death was obstruction of the bowels.  The little boy was a grandson of 
John Smith, of Eleventh street.  Funeral will take place at 10 o'clock 
Wednesday morning.  Interment in St. John's cemetery.

  The funeral of John Edward, son of Laurence E. and Annie Carroll, 
will take place from the parents' residence, 802 Eighteenth avenue, at 
10 o'clock this morning.  Interment in St. John's cemetery.
