DIED.

CARROLL. - On Tuesday morning last, in this city, John W., son of John 
and Jennie Carroll, aged six years and one day.
  It is ever thus with the monster death, always seeming to strike 
where and when his victims are most cherished.  This little boy was the 
pride and joy, not only of his parents, but of all who knew him, and 
his early death has caused more than ordinary affliction among those 
who loved him so well.      L.
