JENNIE CARSON Died on Friday - Funeral Monday Afternoon. Mrs. Jennie Carson died on Friday evening at five o'clock from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Carson had been in failing health the past, five years. She was a daughter of the late James and Nancy Baker Gunsallus and was born at Washington Furnace, Centre county, June 7, 1850. The past thirty two years of her life were spent in Tyrone. On December 22, 1869, she was united in marriage at Pine Grove Mills, Centre county, to Thomas F. Carson. He preceded her to the grave about five years ago. Early in life Mrs. Carson united with the First Methodist Episcopal church and lived her life ever since in accordance to the teaching of that faith. She was a good wife, mother and neighbor and will be greatly missed. Surviving to mourn her death are the following children: James, William, Mrs. Morris Cox, Mrs. William Ross, all of Tyrone, and E. B. Carson, of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Richard Gunsallus, of Bellefonte; Harry, of Warrior's, Mark; William, of Tyrone; Robert, Charles and Mrs. Harry McGinley, of Johnstown. Funeral services were conducted at her late home on Shippen street, Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, by her pastor, Rev. W. W. Hartman. Interment in Grand View cemetery.
