Carson, well known electrical engineer for the Tyrone plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper company, died at his home at Tyrone, Wednesday morning at 5:10 o'clock, following an extended illness with a complication of diseases. William Gunsallus Carson was a son of the late Thomas and Jennie Gunsallus Carson and was born at Graysville, Spruce Creek valley, Huntingdon county, on April 4, 1877. When a young lad he went with his parents to Tyrone and had been a resident of Tyrone for the past 44 years. On July 22, 1897, he was united in marriage with Miss Lida M. Derman, who with one son Karl and two daughters, Margaret and Helen survive. He is also survived by one brother, James Carson, of Tyrone. He was a member of the First Methodist church of Tyrone. Funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon at the Carson home, Tyrone, at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in Grandview cemetery. Daily News, Huntingdon, Pa., November 13, 1930
