Frank Casele, an Italian, aged 45 years, died at the hospital yesterday from the effects of injuries received over a month ago. He was a resident of Bellwood and on the 12th day of December, while thawing several sticks of dynamite before a fire, was terribly injured by the explosive igniting, the right leg being shattered at the knee. He was advised to have the leg amputated, being told frequently that he would probably recover, but that if he refused to submit to the operation he would die. Refusing to have the operation performed, his death resulted, as anticipated, at twenty minutes past 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The remains were given in charge of Undertaker Arthur, who will prepare them for burial. The funeral will take place to-day, the interment to be made in St. John's cemetery.
