A Probably Fatal Accident to William Cassidy. William Cassidy, a man aged 52 years, was seriously injured early on Sunday morning, it is supposed, by falling out of a window at the Park hotel, where he was employed as a hostler. Saturday night he visited the city, returning to the hotel about 10 o'clock. At 10:30 he went to bed in the same room with Henry Hudson, the bartender at the house. When Hudson fell asleep at midnight, Cassidy was still in bed, and that is all he knows about his companion until 4 o'clock in the morning when he was called up by the proprietor to assist in carrying Cassidy into the house. He was then lying on the ground under the bedroom window in an unconscious condition. Dr. Feltwell was summoned and found that the injured man had sustained concussion of the brain and his knee and hip were badly injured as if from a fall. On Monday afternoon he was removed to the residence of his son-in- law, Geo. Fortenbaugh, corner of Fourth avenue and Thirteenth street, where he is still lying unconscious.
