ARTHUR BLAIR CASSIDY

  Mr. Cassidy, 85, of Valley View Home, formerly of 2911 W. Chestnut 
Ave., died Monday, March 24, 1986, in the home, after an extended 
illness.
  Known as Arp, Mr. Cassidy retired as vice president of Cassidy Candy 
Co. in 1941. Following that he was employed by the Penn Maryland 
division of the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1943 to 1949. He also 
retired from the Safety First Shoe Co. in 1961, after 12 years' 
service.
  He was born Sept. 17, 1900, in Altoona, a son of Charles Henry and 
Laura (Haas) Cassidy, and Oct. 16, 1926, in Altoona, married Beatrice 
A. Ziegler.
  Surviving are his wife and a brother, Robert W. of Hollidaysburg.
  Mr. Cassidy was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
  Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 
Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home.

CASSIDY - Services for Arthur B. Cassidy of Valley View Home will be 
held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home, by 
the Rev. Roy A. Steward Jr. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends 
will be received from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Wednesday in 
the funeral home.
