Kettle St., died at noon yesterday in the Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted last Saturday, after an extended illness. He was born in Patton Feb. 14, 1908, a son of Wilfred and Ruth Anna (Snyder) Cassidy, and married Dorothy M. Sharpless in Cumberland, Md., June 20, 1922. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cherry of the city; two granddaughters, and three sisters and a brother, Mrs. James Cummings, Mrs. Grace Chantis and Mrs. Irene Cornelius of Altoona, and Wilfred of Bellefonte. Mr. Cassidy was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, a barber by trade and proprietor of the Sixth Ward shop at Eighth Avenue and Nineteenth Street for many years. Friends will be received in the Laughlin-Carn Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, January 31, 1968
