Cassidy, wife of A. Boyd Cassidy of 2814 Broad Ave., died unexpectedly at 7.40 a.m. today in the Altoona Hospital where she was admitted Friday suffering from a heart ailment. A graduate of the Logan Township High School in the class of 1910 she had continued her education in music at Syracuse University. For a period of 28 years she served as organist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and more recently as assistant organist at the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cassidy was a member of the Y.W.C.A. board of directors for six years, serving as president in 1945; a member of the Altoona Womans Club, serving as chairman of the Baker Mansion committee. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was born Dec. 1, 1892, at Greenwood, a daughter of John K. and Amanda (Hutchison) Hamilton, and married Mr. Cassidy Oct. 17, 1917. Surviving are her husband, one son, Maj. Albert Boyd Cassidy Jr. of Browns Mills, N.J., and two sisters, Mrs. Homer S. Biddle and Mrs. Austin L. Fay of the city.
