JOHN ELVIN CASWELL

Of Blair Street, Bellwood, died at 3 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital, 
where he was admitted March 20th.  He was born at Springfield Mines, 
March 11, 1885, a son of William and Mary (Updike) Caswell, and married 
Margaret (Cherry) Morrissey.  Surviving are his wife, a son and 
daughter; Howard of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Rena Reeder of Altoona; 
three step-children, Mrs. Julia McCaulley of Bellwood; Mrs. Laura Dixon 
of Greencastle; and Mrs. Mae Bonsell of Tyrone; seven grandchildren, 23 
great grandchildren, a brother and two: sisters, Aaron of Bellwood; 
Mrs. Rose Langenbacher of Altoona; and Mrs. Ethel Tarter of McKeesport.  
Mr. Caswell was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood, and 
retired in 1945 as a conductor for the P.R.R.  Friends will be received 
in the Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood,  after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
