RALPH S. CASWELL

Of 2916 4th Ave., died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday in the Altoona Veterans 
Administration Hospital after an extended illness.  He was born in 
Altoona Aug. 27, 1894, a son of Albert and Elizabeth (Eckels)Caswell.  
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marie Irvin of Lancaster; two 
grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Stella Beck, with whom he resided.  He 
was of the Methodist faith, a veteran of World War I in the ambulance 
corps overseas, a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and the McKees 
Rocks Eagles, a former construction worker of Moyer Brothers known to 
his friends as Shorty.  Friends will be received at the Stevens 
Mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
