At 7 o'clock Thursday evening Mrs. Kate Cavanaugh died at the residence of her sister, Mrs. J. Greenawalt, 1019 Seventh avenue, of pneumonia. She had been a patient at the hospital for some time, but was discharged on Wednesday. On her way to her sister's home she contracted a cold, which developed into pneumonia, resulting in death. The deceased was a widow aged 54 years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Maggie Barr and Mrs. Carrie Saucerman, of Tyrone; Homer and Kate, of Chambersburg. Three brothers and two sisters as follows are also yet living: John Smawley, of Erie; Lewis Smawley, of Tyrone; Harry Smawley, of Toledo, O.; Mrs. M. Manning and Mrs. J. Greenawalt, of this city. She was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Greenawalt at 9 o'clock this morning. The remains will be taken on day express to Mt. Union for interment.
