JOHN W. CAVENDER

Of Claysburg RD, died unexpectedly this morning at his home.  He was born Feb. 
1, 1905, at Artemas, Bedford County, a son of Frank and Agnes (Kennard) 
Cavender, and married Lucy Ritchey on Aug. 17, 1925.  Surviving are his wife, 
five children, Mrs. Edna Reiher of Philadelphia, Mrs. Ethel Walters of Texas, 
Franklin of East Freedom, Richard of Claysburg RD and Miss Sylvia at home; one 
brother, James of Gallitzin, and two sisters, Mrs. Roxie Jay of Artemas and Mrs. 
Pearl Laymon of Clearville RD.  He was a member of the Claysburg Church of God 
and a retired employee of the Snyder Right-of-Way Contractors in East Freedom.
