All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Phyllis Virginia Charles Mrs. Phyllis Virginia Charles, age 93, formerly of Tyrone RD 3 and a guest at Epworth Manor died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 6:25 a.m. at the Manor. She was born February 9, 1914 in Huntingdon, the daughter of Thomas H. and Helen M. Shirley Lynn and on January 17, 1942 was married at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation to Robert J. Charles who preceded her in death October 26, 2004. She is survived by a son, Robert W. and wife Lisa of Ranchester, WY, a granddaughter, Kelly Deeann Blea of Parkman, WY and a grandson, Aubrey Decker of Ranchester, WY and three great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother and was the last of her immediate family. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary, Howard Gardner Post 281 American Legion Auxiliary and a life member of the Bald Eagle Fire Company. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School class of 1931 and, at one time, was employed by the Reliance Manufacturing Company and, through most of her life, enjoyed being a homemaker. A private funeral service and interment at Bald Eagle Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family with her pastor, Susan Yatta officiating.
