CHATHAMS Of 2233 Eleventh avenue, widow of Edward Chathams, died at her home at 7.15 o'clock this morning after several months' illness. She was born in Elderton on July 10, 1879, a daughter of William and Lois (Clark) Armstrong, and married Mr. Chathams on June 15, 1905, residing in Altoona ever since. She was educated in the Edgewood deaf mute school, which she attended from 1887 until graduation in 1898. Mr. Chathams, a well known employe of the Altoona works blacksmith shop, died on April 21, 1939. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Iva Grove of Indiana, and one son, Clark A., at home and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Agnes Manner of Clymer, Mrs. Ella Smith of Avonmore, Mrs. Olive Culbertson of Eldorado, Mrs. Alice Farren and Miss Charlotte Armstrong, both of Indiana. A son, George E., jr., died in 1911. Mrs. Chathams was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal church. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. CHATHAMS - Funeral services for Mrs. Cora M. Chathams of 2233 Eleventh avenue, will be held from the Laughlin funeral home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in charge of Rev. John R. Leatherbury.
