CHARLES CHERRY Of 209 Twenty-second avenue, died in the Altoona hospital Saturday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock after three weeks' illness. Mr. Cherry was a retired car repairman of the east-bound repair tracks, retiring in 1945. He was born May 7, 1883, in Antis township, the son of James T. and Lillie Ann (Marr) Cherry. His wife died July 26, 1948. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. August E. Davis, at home; one grandchild; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Annie Barr and Mrs. William Smith, both of Altoona, and William R. Cherry of Gary, Ind., and a nephew, Howard Leroy Cherry, who was reared by the family. One brother, Howard Cherry, died two months ago. He was a member of Calvary Baptist church.
