He was born in Altoona on Sept. 29, 1865, a son of James and Elizabeth (McClellan) Cherry, and had been employed by the railroad company for forty-nine years at the time of his retirement. His wife, Mrs. Mary Cherry, died in 1930. Surviving are one nephew and one niece, J. B. Eckels of Canton, O., and Mrs. Marguerite E. Fray of St. Petersburg, Fla. The body may be viewed at the Hickey funeral home. CHERRY - Funeral services for James Cherry of 1013 Bridge street will be held at the Hickey funeral home, 911 Lexington avenue, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock to be in charge of the Rev. Harry L. Saul, pastor of the Bethany Lutheran church. Interment will be made in Alto-Reste cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Hickey establishment after 7 o'clock this evening.
