Cambria St., Bellwood, was dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital at 1:30 p.m. yesterday, June 20, 1973. Mr. Cherry retired in 1964 as a PRR fire marshal in the Altoona Works. He was born July 21, 1901, in Bellwood, a son of Lloyd and Ida (Igou) Cherry, and married Rosanna Burns on Oct. 10, 1924, in Tyrone. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Betty Shirk of Hamilton Square, N.J.; four grandchildren and a brother, Dale of Bellwood. Mr. Cherry was a member of the Excelsior Fire Company, Bellwood Beagle Club, Eagles, Logan Valley Cemetery Association Board, Tyrone F&AM, Lodge 494, Williamsport Scottish Rite bodies, Jaffa Shrine Temple and Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood. Friends will be received in the Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and after 10 a.m. Saturday. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., June 21, 1973
