CHESNEY Mr. Chesney, 56, of 1535 Pleasant Valley Blvd., died at 4:25 p.m. Friday June 18, 1982 in Mercy Hospital, following a extended illness. Mr. Chesney was employed as a foreman in the highway department for the city of Altoona. He was born November 5, 1925, the son of Charles F. and Queen N. (Dunlap) Chesney. On June 6, 1946, in Altoona he married Ester Jane Hockenberry. Surviving are his wife, four children, Mrs. Janie Ferguson, Deborah A. Lee and Brian L. of Altoona and Fred W., jr., of Fresno, California; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers and a sister. Mr. Chesney was a navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the national campers and hiker association.
